Bahrain GP: Distribution of Lap Times
With Formula 1 kicking of this weekend I decided to take a look at how lap times have changed over the years - starting with the Bahrain GP since that the first stop on the 2021 F1 calendar.
It is presented as a density based joyplot (named for the iconic Joy Division album cover) and each year is shaded based on which team had the fastest lap of the GP. Will Mercedes 2020 dominance carry over to 2021 and put in another fastest lap effort?
